Members of the Avalon Yacht Club enjoy a full season of social, dining, and recreational experiences that celebrate life on the water. From themed deck parties and holiday celebrations to live entertainment and family nights, there’s always something happening at the Club. AYC offers exceptional waterfront dining, a vibrant bar scene overlooking the bay, and sailing programs for adults and juniors alike.
 
Members also enjoy access to a full calendar of special events and traditions that make AYC summers unforgettable. Membership at AYC offers access not only to our Club’s facilities and programs but also to reciprocal privileges at yacht clubs around the world.

Since 1941, Avalon Yacht Club has built a proud tradition of camaraderie, seamanship, and service. Whether you’re attending a regatta, a charity event, or simply sharing cocktails on the North Deck, AYC fosters friendships and connections that span generations. 

Types of Membership

Annual Member

An Annual Membership entitles the member, their spouse or significant other, and all children up to and including age 25 to full Club privileges. Annual Members may not attend the Annual Proprietors Meeting, vote on any issue before the Proprietors, or serve as a Club officer or trustee. This is a temporary membership class limited to three seasons, after which members must apply for Proprietary status to continue. Annual Members are subject to applicable membership charges.

Individual Member

An Individual Membership is available to single (unmarried) individuals aged 21 or older. Individual Members enjoy full Club privileges but may not attend the Annual Proprietors Meeting, vote, or hold office. This introductory membership class is limited to three seasons, after which the member must apply for Proprietary status to continue. Individual Members are subject to applicable membership charges.

Junior Member

Unmarried children of Proprietary Members ages 26 through 32 may retain full Club privileges - excluding voting rights - by paying an annual surcharge. Parents of Junior Members must remain active members in good standing. The surcharge will be billed following approval by the AYC Board of Trustees.

Off-Season Member

Off-Season Membership offers full use of the Club from the day after Labor Day through the Thursday before Memorial Day. There are no initiation fees or food minimums, and no rate differences between single and married applicants. Memberships are limited to 250 families, with priority given to those currently on the waiting list for full membership. Applicants must include a letter of reference from a Proprietary Member sponsor. Off-Season Memberships are valid for one season only, are not prorated, and require a new application and fee each year.
